SEEKING MIDLANDS BASED MALE ACTORS AGED 17 -19 WITH SOUTH ASIAN OR BLACK HERITAGE

FOR MAJOR NEW BBC SERIES WRITTEN BY DAVID NICHOLLS (ONE DAY), BASED ON THE MUCH-LOVED NOVEL BY SUE TOWNSEND.

Robert Sterne Casting (Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, The Crown, Black Doves) is looking for teenage boys aged between 17 -19 who are native to the Midlands.

We encourage suggestions from all ethnicities, but we are particularly keen to see male applicants with South Asian or black heritage. We are open to both professional and non-professional actors and those with no prior acting experience. The characters are an eclectic group of students at a local comprehensive in 1980s Leicestershire, and we are keen to see interesting, unconventional teens with character and attitude.

The series shoots in UK from late March to late June 2026.
